Role
and Responsibilities of the Cambodian Rehabilitation and
Development Board: |

|
- Collaborate with
relevant ministries and institutions to prepare strategic
plans for the rehabilitation and development of the country
and set priorities of the country’s immediate, short-term,
medium-term, and long-term needs in order to develop a
rolling program of action. This program should be coherent
and inter-related.
- Collaborate with
relevant ministries and institutions in order to prepare the
socio-economic and sectoral development plans for the
development of Cambodia.
- Manage public investment
in close collaboration with relevant ministries and
institutions. This function is mainly related to the
coordination, allocation, and utilization of domestic and
external resources in order to rehabilitate and develop
Cambodia.
- Serve as the focal point
and as a “One-Stop-Service” between the Royal Government
and the donor countries, international organizations, and
NGOs, as well as between the ministries and other
governmental institutions in the coordination, allocation,
and utilization of aid.
- As delegated by the
Prime Minister, sign on behalf of the Royal Government of
Cambodia all agreements with regard to the acceptance and
allocation of aid with bilateral and multilateral donors and
international organizations.
- Cooperate with relevant
ministries and institutions and lead the work on the
preparation of necessary documents for international
conferences on rehabilitation and development of Cambodia
such as the “Consultative Group Meeting for Cambodia”.
- Prepare documents and
regulations pertaining to public investment for circulation
both inside and outside the country.
- Produce semestral and
annual reports, including recommendations on corrective
measures to reorient the rehabilitation and development
efforts, and submit it to the Royal Government for its
review.
